DESCRIPTION:
- The ECG-L7 Electrical Contact Gauge is used primarily as a reference gauge over a cased stilling well. The unit consists of a powder coated steel frame, a hand operated reel, a control box and a push button to check the battery voltage and lamp operation.
OPERATION:
- A steel measuring tape is fitted on the reel and the frame bolted to the tabletop. The measuring tape is simply fed from the reel until the weight makes contact with the water surface. This contact completes the electrical circuit and causes the lamp to illuminate. The reel is then locked in position and the tape reading observed at the adjustable cursor provided on the reel mounting bracket.
